How critical is it to perform this calibration? My spindle is running at almost max speed, 23560 rpm, with VR3 turned CCW all the way. This was based on a cheap non-contact laser tach.

Thank you, sir. My apologies for being repetitive in my questioning.

Ah gotcha. I read that info in the chart on page 11 several times, I believe its sinking in now now. the port 1 and port 2 keeps throwing me off. I forget the ESS provides dual parallel ports.

So if using a motion controller (Warp9 ESS) with MACH3, will I also have to configure the ESS to provide the signal on pin 17?

Im a bit confused on this charge pump and JP2 multi-mode thing.

So lets say that I do enable Normal Mode with Charge Pump,  and JP2 multi-mode, and also enable the Charge Pump flag in MACH3 with port 1 pin 17.
Do I need a High/low signal going to pin 17? How do I generate the signal is there is no actual charge pump?

Is it necessary to enable multi-mode on JP2 on the PMDX-126? I was reading a old document sent to me by my CNC supplier. They used the PMDX-126/PMDX-107 some time ago and in their documentation they state to enable multi-mode on JP2 also to enable charge pump. I dont have any devices connected to the on board relays on the -126.

Anyone? Just need assistance verifying the control signals to VFD from PMDX-107 look right or not.

Hi guys,

Anyone out there has used the LSi C100 VFD (LSLV0022C100-1N) with a PMDX-126/107 and can share your connections from -107 to VFD?

I figured something like this (see image):

PMDX-107            LSi C100 VFD
AGnd =====>  CM (Input signal common)
AOut =====>   AI (Freq. Setting Voltage signal input: 0-10V)
ARef  =====>  ???
COM =====>   CM (Input signal common)
Fwd Run ===>  P1 (FX: Forward Run)
Rev Dir ====>  P2  (RX:Reverse Run) Optional (is this needed on a cnc router?

220 single phase power to R(L1) and T(L3), Ground to chassis
Spindle Motor to U,V,W, and ground.

Search for LSLV C100 Series User's Manual

On PMDX-107 set the 10V dip switch (#6)
On PMDX-126 - not sure if I have to set to "Run in Normal Mode with Charge Pump", Config 1 open.
