How to purchase for international customers.
NOTE: All customers from outside the USA must contact us in advance by for shipping charges, handling fees, and payment instructions. PayPal customers should wait for us to send you an invoice that includes the correct amount for shipping and handling. If international customers attempt to use the PayPal shopping cart without contacting us first, the payment will be refunded without processing.
Items on this site are standard products intended for integration into systems. If you need customized products, please contact Practical Micro Design, Inc. You do not need to be an OEM or business in order to purchase any of the products listed on this site. Sales to individuals doing systems integration are welcome. Our pricing reflects our direct Internet marketing approach and purchases of multiple units are generally not eligible for discounts. Of course, if you are an OEM or reseller, please feel free to contact us about discounts on volume purchases of 25 or more units.
We accept orders from Canada, Mexico, all countries of the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, and any customer able to make payment via PayPal. Orders from other countries will be considered on a case by case basis.
International orders are normally shipped via United States Postal Service, Express Mail International, with insurance required. This service typically takes 6 business days, PLUS the time required to clear your country's customs procedures. Customs can sometimes be a significant delay. Express Mail International provides basic tracking to most countries. You may also have your order shipped using Federal Express, or United Parcel Service if you require full tracking. These services are faster, but are significantly more expensive. Customers from Italy are warned that Italian Postal and customs services are not typical and may take up to 30 days to deliver Express Mail International packages.
Duties, tariffs, and VAT are the responsibility of the purchaser.
International orders are charged a handling fee, usually US$6.00, to prepare the necessary export documentation. Customs documents provided with your shipment will identify the contents as goods or merchandise and will show the actual purchase price excluding shipping and handling fees. Please do not ask us to falsify customs documents, such requests cannot be honored.
Items offered for sale are normally available from stock in small quantities. Please e-mail to confirm availability, pricing, and shipping costs prior to ordering quantities for more than one system. Please e-mail with information about model, quantity desired, preferred shipping method, and payment arrangements.
We are now accepting PayPal payments as our preferred payment method. This service is available in many countries and allows you to use most credit cards. Signup is easy if you are not already using Paypal. For additional information on how to set up and use a Paypal account, please click on the Paypal logo above and then click on the PayPal Worldwide link.
Credit card orders can ONLY be processed using Paypal. We DO NOT accept credit cards by phone, fax, or mail.
Sorry, but we do not offer COD shipments.
Customers from outside the United States must make payment for all items in US dollars.
International PayPal payments are accepted, but must be arranged by e-mail in advance so that proper shipping charges can be included. We will prepare a PayPal invoice and send it to you. Non-US payments to our PayPal payment address will be refunded without processing if we have not sent you an invoice or otherwise arranged for the payment to include the required shipping and other fees associated with international shipments.
All checks or money orders should be payable to Practical Micro Design, Inc. (our parent company). Checks drawn on banks outside the United States must be payable in US dollars and will be subject to a waiting period of 15 business days for bank processing. A processing fee of US$20.00 must be added for international collection services.
Wire transfers through banking channels are possible, but expensive because our bank does not operate internationally and your bank must work through a Correspondent Bank in the USA. There is also a fee of US$25.00 for receiving wire transfers. We do not accept Western Union wire transfers. Western Union money orders may be mailed to us like any other money order.
Canadian customers may pay with Canadian postal money orders issued in US dollars. There is no added fee for this type of payment.
