SmartBOB controllers and dedicated accessories / Recommend a controller board

Hello
New to CNC and looking for a little help. We have a Chinese 3 axis router (Redsail 3040) that we are considering converting to mach4 hobby, and would like to know which controller board you would recommend.
Present controller: DSP 0501
Drives: Moons' SR4H
Spindle: Xinfutai VFD FT-C series with 800w motor.
We would prefer to use a USB connection to the computer rather than the existing parallel cable, and have capability to add a C axis in the future. Strictly a hobby/learning experience.
