I connected my laptop to the PMDX 424 and started up Mach 4 and I was able to run several cnc programs with no problems. I never did receive any error codes.  I think the problem I was seeing  was caused while I was using a blue tooth mouse that is connected to a USB port. It seems like every time I have the blue tooth mouse connected and I load Mach 4 my blue tooth mouse looses connection and becomes disable. At the time I received the error in Mach 4 I was working in Vcarve Pro and using the blue tooth mouse and did not have Mach 4 loaded yet. When I was ready to run my cnc machine I connected the USB cable from the PMDX 424 and then loaded Mach 4, the first time Mach 4 was loading it said it could not detect a USB connection so I closed Mach 4 and re connected the USB cable. I then reloaded Mach 4 and it was then when I that I received the error codes in the history window.  At the same time my laptop was running slow the mouse arrow was unresponsive at times moving slow and would disconnect and re connect.
Yesterday when I got home I connected the laptop the the PMDX and loaded Mach 4 and ran several cnc programs and everything work great. I did have Vcarve Pro running but did not have the blue tooth mouse connected.  So I think the problem I was having was due to the mouse and USB issues.  Im using a low cost Dell laptop

Thanks

One other thing I notice a scratch gouge on the PMDX board. Would this cause any problems.
It's right above the USB connection. When I got the board the envelope was damaged and ripped

Tried to run a g code program today and the following error came up in history. This error code appeared right after I open Mach 4 and tried to zero in the cnc machine.
PMDX SmartBOB USB Device Error System Error (7): MotionUnderrun.
Tried restarting the program and even restarted the laptop.

Any suggestion.

Bob,
I downloaded the plug-in on Friday and it looks like the problem is fixed.  I ran the g code file and it ran all the way through and completed.  I'm still seeing the Y limit switch error during start up but its not an issue as everything seem to be working.
Again Thanks for your assistance an prompt reply.

Thanks

Dennis

I just downloaded Vcarve pro onto my laptop and as i was testing everything out. toward the end of the run, my CNC machine stops and i get the following error History PMDX-SmartBOB-USB DEVICE ERROR: SYSTEM ERROR (12) USB Rx Overflow. When this happens the CNC and Mach4 are dead in the water can not move the Z,X,or Y access.  Have to shut everything off and reset everything.  I have ad this happen more than once and on different cut folders.  Any suggestions.
I am Using Windows 10, PMDX 424, Mach 4 and Vcarve Pro.  Here is the history report

Bob,
The new proximity sensors I purchased from PMDX came in, I installed them today and they worked great.  I did have to slow down the jog rate at 45% so the metal tab would not touch the sensor but other than that they worked great. Should of purchased them the first time.
Again Thanks for your support.

Do I need to ground the PMDX 424 board to earth ground. I have my PMDX 424 attached to a plastic control box with Teflon standoff spacers and screws. Should i run a ground wire off one of the mounting post on the PMDX and the other to earth ground. Just Checking
