Title: Connecting VFD to PMDX-126 without 107 card
Post by: Gallen66 on July 28, 2018, 10:48:51 AM
Is it possible to connect my Huanyang VFD to the BOB without the 107 card? I plan to purchase it in the future when my $ has improved. I just want to be able to control power to it and the speed (Rpms). And, by chance, do you know which controller pins to connect it to on the VFD? There are ports labeled ACM & DCM. Are those for alternating current versus direct current, if you know?

You can configure the VFD to use its front panel to set the speed, while
accepting the run/stop control from an external source. A relay on you
PMDX-126 can be used for this purpose.

ACM refers to Analog Common and would only be used if you had a
PMDX-107 to supply and analog speed control.

DCM refers to Digital Common and is used together with the FWD
input to control run/stop of the VFD.
