I have a pmdx-126 BOB connected to an ESS. Apparently, output pins 2 & 3 from port 1 stopped working. I checked wires, motor and driver by switching everything out and all were working properly. I moved the output to the motor to J5 pins A & B on the BOB and port 2 pins 1 & 14 on the ESS and the motor moves now, but only in one direction.

General Discussion / Connecting VFD to PMDX-126 without 107 card

Is it possible to connect my Huanyang VFD to the BOB without the 107 card? I plan to purchase it in the future when my $ has improved. I just want to be able to control power to it and the speed (Rpms). And, by chance, do you know which controller pins to connect it to on the VFD? There are ports labeled ACM & DCM. Are those for alternating current versus direct current, if you know?

Why does my estop work in reverse? I can run the machine when it’s depressed, and the estop works when it is released.

I have set up a CNC Router with a PMDX-126  BOB and ESS motion controller. I am trying to connect NPN-normally-closed (6v-30v) inductive proximity sensors as limit switches on connectors J11 & J12. I have them wired to pins 11, 12, 13 & 15 powered by the 12v ports on J11 & 12. I had to add resistors due to the “current leaking” from the NPNs’ signal wires to the corresponding +5v ports for each connector. That allowed me wire them up and successfully run the machine without tripping the limit switches so long as they were not close to the motors; however, when I went to mount the switches they went off as soon as they were anywhere near the motors. Is there any way to modify or adjust that? Does that have to do with “noise” from the motor or the sensitivity of the sensors or both or neither? Also I noticed that when they are activated, they don’t stop the machine, they just kept me from entering another command.
