Parallel Port breakout boards, motherboards, and dedicated accessories / Relay K1 turns on when computer booted

I have noticed that booting the Mach3 computer with my machine powered on will cause K1 to close contacts. If my router is switched on, it spins up. That could be dangerous. edit: I have a PMDX-126 rC
What could be causing this behavior and is there an easy way to fix it?
